Rachel McAdams Made a Major Hair Change Just in Time for Oscar Night

And this look is award winning.

Actress Rachel McAdams is gearing up for Oscar Sunday — er, Monday — by switching up her hair color. The 37-year-old beauty revealed her new ash blonde (read: basically platinum) hue at the Vanity Fair and Barneys New York dinner celebrating Spotlight Director Tom McCarthy on February 24.
It's going to be a big night for McAdams, who's nominated for her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Spotlight. If you haven't seen this movie, we highly recommend it. Not only is the story full of gut-wrenching emotion, but it also brings you back to the fashion and beauty trends of 2001. McAdams plays Sacha Pfeiffer, a reporter for the Boston Globe, and wears some seriously unfortunate wide leg khakis, boxy blazers, and ill-fitting wovens. Did we really dress like that?! Her hair, however, isn't too far off from the current lob craze. What's up with that, right? Well, if you think back, the Olsen twins and Hilary Duff were basically rocking long bobs throughout theearly aughts — so McAdams' hair in Spotlight is right on trend.
