I Tried It: REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial
And it made me look alive... which was a feat.
True life: I still have the flu. Going on day 6. But, I'm not good at being idle, and in hopes that I'm not still contagious (sorry co-workers), I made the executive decision to come back into the office. One problem: my face. Aside from the obvious downsides of having the flu, I have had literally no energy to indulge in my daily skin care routine. At most I've done a quick cleanse and slapped on whatever basic hydrating moisturizer is the closest, with care to put some coddling balm on my chapped nose. Not to mention, the illness hasn't done great things for my complexion, I'm pale, I look exhausted, dehydrated, and dull. In other words, I look sickly.
So, this morning when I woke up, my face needed some major help. I enlisted REN's Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial ( $48; renskincare.com) because if there as ever a day I really needed a quick fix, it was today. So, I washed my faced, toned with glycolic, and proceeded to squeeze this magical tube and massage the contents over my less than glowing face. As instructed, I added a few drops of water as I massaged and then let the product sit on my face for a minute while I brewed some chamomile tea. When I finally rinsed, I was pleasantly surprised by my reflection in the mirror. Most notably, my skin looked a little revived, perked up, and dare I say, much more fresh than a mere 3 minutes beforehand. And that gray cast over my face? Gone.
If it can work a miracle when I'm in such bad shape, I can only imagine how incredible it will make me look on days when I'm just a little tired. I'm hooked. It truly is a facial in a flash.
