I Tried It: AMOREPACIFIC Time Response Skin Renewal Mist
Gotta love a face mist — especially when it's anti-aging.
Before my first day of work at MIMI, I packed my bag with a few desk necessities that I knew I would need on day one. A notebook, a pen, my makeup bag (#beautyprobs), and my iPhone charger took up most of the space in my cross-body bag, but I made sure to shove with force fit one more item — a facial mist.
I consider facial mists an integral part of my daily beauty routine: I mist when I'm stressed, when my face is dry, when I'm bored at home, and now, when I want to prevent wrinkles.
While reading up on AMOREPACIFIC's Time Response Collection — an anti-aging product line that actually launched back in 2013 — I spotted a face mist. Specifically, the Time Response Skin Renewal Mist ($90; nordstrom.com). If I can treat my skin to hydration and prevent the signs of aging all in one spritz, I'm sold.
The mist, which kind of looks like milk in the bottle, is infused with a Time Response Complex that is made with green tea stem cell and green tea EGCG. Basically, they together help with issues like collagen production, melanin production, and hydration. Yep, I'll take all three but especially the moisturizing. It's February in New York City, OK? Ineed this.
But since the mist is a part of a larger collection, it's meant to be a first step in moisturizing, which is supposed to help the richer treatment penetrate better. I'll be honest: I didn't follow-up with the Time Response moisturizer, but stuck to my own favorite.
Nevertheless, the mist still include those anti-aging benefits I mentioned earlier.
I kept it about six inches away from my face and let loose with the spraying. The light mist landed on my face and absorbed quickly and I felt instantly refreshed, like I do with most face mists. It also held a light and lovely scent, which is something I don't usually notice with the face mists I use, unless they're loaded with rosewater (a personal favorite).
I didn't feel a sting at all, so it passed my first facial mist test. I'll probably grab hold of this bottle the next time I feel like my face is so dry it's going to fall off, or maybe when I want to primp. So... probably in about 5 minutes.
